Weddings Portfolio
My portfolio is a mix of fine art and documentary styles. Dramatic lighting and artistic shots turn moments into art while making you look f*cking amazing.
I capture raw, genuine emotions in a beautiful way. No bullshit, just your story, naturally and formally. My classic posed shots add a touch of structured elegance for the office desk as well.
Alex & Rob's Rainy Central Park Wedding
I'll never forget the moment of me running across Central Park roads in the rain, tugging my gear and braving the elements. They say it's good luck when it rains on your wedding day. For Alex and Rob's small intimate wedding, we set to create a more fine art look to the images. This black and white collection shows what we can accomplish for a 4hr wedding day.
Carissa & Ben's 4hr Traditional Wedding
Carissa and Ben were on a limited budget and were looking for an affordable wedding photographer. Affordable doesn't mean quality is sacrificed, just means the right solution is needed. Most weddings have 4 major moments, the prep, the couple, the ceremony and the portraits. Each taking about an hour to photograph efficiently. This collection illustrates how much can be photographed in short amount of time.
The Calm Before the "I Do"
The Calm Before the "I Do" is showcases the intimate and emotional moments of wedding day preparations. This collection offers a glimpse into the nerves, excitement, and beauty of getting ready for the big day, providing viewers with an intimate view of the emotions and anticipation that come with saying "I do."
Real Wedding: Courtney & Brent
I just loved these two. Courtney, Brent and my wife and I all went out to dinner. We got to know each other and I got to know what kind of vibe Courtney and Brent were.
The cool thing about it, is that my wife and Courtney were becoming pretty good friends up to the wedding day. So it was like chillin with friends when we did engagement shoot right after the rehearsal dinner.
The wedding was on Lake Michigan at an AirBnB. As small intimate wedding. This was Brent's second marriage and Courtney's first. So the father-son bond had to be leveled up and bond with Courtney. That wanted to look fucking amazing they said, so I delivered on that.
Their style and tone was a blend of lakeshore vibes of coastal tones and party in the Hampton's vibes. Courtney had this to say:
"We wanted someone we could relate with and felt comfortable. A social person we wanted to spend our day with. You met with us, and we had a great connection. We felt you were sincere, and we loved you had your wife with you. We also felt you had amazing ability to be there but not be there. You was not center stage, but you were…Your personality, your story. Your eye to capture the most amazing scenery and the absolute best candid shots!
Having you and Chelly there made our day just that much more special and memorable."

Real Wedding: Tryn and Mike
Tryn is the sister of Christine, another client I feature here in my portfolio. Let me tell you this fun story. Christine's wedding is in Garden Valley. Christine is marrying Sadiq, and Sadiq's cousin, Mike shows up.
Christine's wedding is a two day affair, I do the rehearsal dinner and have dinner with the family. Christine's sister Tryn, had mysteriously disappeared with Mike. This is the first time they had met!
Christine looked fucking amazing and so did her wedding photos. The following morning I have breakfast with the family and Tryn and Mike had fallen in love.
One year later here I am photographing with the family again. Tryn and Mike's wedding was in Three Rivers at a small private residence. It was a small intimate wedding, with rich green tones and earthy feelings.

Real Wedding: Jordan & Linus
Hands down the kindest couple I think I have ever worked with. Kindness, lighthearted, classy with a touch of European vibes. An intimate wedding, with a bus load of friends.
Jordan and Linus live in Chicago and Chicago always delivers. The tones were bright, vibrant and it was crisp spring day. The engagement session we had a blast. We strolled around Chicago gardens and the zoo, had some lunch and hung out.
Wedding day came and we picked up like we never left off. Jordan wanted a blend of classic and candid style.

Real Wedding: TJ & Jenn
Working with Tj and Jen was a lot like working with my best friend. They are both professional photographers themselves and I was lucky enough to mentor TJ with his photography.
These two had shit on auto-pilot when I was working with them. They favored their schedule for photos, but the weather had us on a tight leash. Totally digged their throwback to the analog days and the touch of rustic fall.
Small crew, but man they packed a mighty party out in Rochester Hills, MI. I can't for the life of me remember the venue, but it was small private property. They had a vision of a throwback of their first date activity of record shopping.
So I matched the tones to the palette to give that record store vibe. I love the they the black and whites came out, so I sprinkled some in there.
