A stroll through Chicago with Jordan & Linus

Spent a wonderful afternoon with Jordan and Linus in the gardens in Chicago. This was my first time meeting them, so we went and had lunch before we jumped into action.

I had this idea of lush, rich landscape vibes using some interesting depth of field effects to art more of that artistic quality to the tone of the images. As you can see we had some fun and they look freaking amazing!

Amanda & Kirk Engagement Session

I can't say enough about these two. We've become close friends over the years. First, this collection is a "do-over". Let's rewind back to 2010. Amanda and Kirk couldn't keep their hands off each other during their engagement, and had beautiful baby boy surprise. So we had to pump the breaks for a minute till 2012!

While I don't have their wedding collection to show, because it was so long ago, let's say I made them look fucking amazing. You know what we did differently, we did a "boudoir first look" where Kirk helped her get into her wedding dress. Yup, unconventional. I love breaking rules!

They never got their engagement session, so back in 2014 we staged an engagement, except we left the rings on.

That's the "timeless" quality in my work.

Amber & Jesse Engagement Experience

Amber and I go back at bit, she was client number 10ish in 2009 when I was starting out. I photographed her first marriage. That's okay girl, second time is even sweeter.

Amber was such a huge fan of my work. He calls me up and says he wants to surprise her with a proposal and wants me to be the "surprise".

Jesse coordinates with his law enforcement pals (see the blue, hint) and they pull her over for a traffic ticket. Jesse arrives to the car and proposes. This guy gets 5 stars.

He drives 2.5hrs with her to come see me and we do a photoshoot on the spot in downtown Grand Rapids. They looked f*cking amazing and so did the photos.
